On July 12, at the Cathedral Square of the Peter and Paul Fortress, will open the VI Festival ” Opera for all “. The sixth opera music festival will begin with Russian classics. On the open stage, the audience will see the opera “Ruslan and Lyudmila” by Mikhail Glinka. The opera of Glinka is based on a fairy-tale poem by Alexander Pushkin. It will be presented by the Symphony Orchestra “Northern Symphony” directed by Fabio Mastrangelo and well-known performers of the world opera scene: the soloist of theaters Metropolitan Opera, La Scala and Covent Garden – Denis Sedov, and the soloists of the Mariinsky Theater – Zhanna Dombrovskaya and Ekaterina Krapivina. The production of the play was done by the art director of the festival – Victor Vysotsky and the artist Julia Goltsova. In the play, the theme of Russian history combines with fairy-tale motifs. A composition from the towers of the ancient Russian city and stylized eastern architectural details will appear on the stage under the open sky.
