Since May 1, 2017 on the streets of St. Petersburg, the staff of the help desk “Ask me Spb / I know the city” are on duty. Mobile helpers are presented by the City Institution “City Tourist Information Bureau”. Employees of a unique service will move around the city on segways.
Mobile helpers of “Ask me Spb / I know the city” know well the history of the northern capital and speak English, French and Chinese. They are designed to help tourists navigate the city, talk about the location of museums and the time of their work, as well as, if necessary, suggest how to contact the police and even hold up to the nearest police department.
Until September 1, mobile assistants will stand in nine locations in the Central, Admiralty and Moscow districts of the city. At the Palace Square, the Arts Square and the area near the Savior on Blood, the duty will be carried out by groups consisting of two employees. In the Summer Garden, the Senate Square (near the Bronze Horseman), the Gostiny Dvor, the Kazan Cathedral, the Vosstaniya Square and the metro station Moskovskaya the duty will be carried out by one employee.
