The Museum of Street Art in St. Petersburg opened a new season. The main theme of the exposition is the Revolution of 1917 and the Russian avant-garde. An international duet of curators worked on the exhibition “Holiday comes to you”: Andrey Zaitsev – director of the Museum of Street Art, and Yasha Yang – project manager of the Urban Nation Museum for Urban Contemporary Art Berlin. 50 artists from 12 countries take part in the exhibition. One of the partners of the Museum in the new season is the Demetra Art Hotel, which is a logical continuation of the hotel policy to support contemporary art in St. Petersburg. For the last several years the hotel has been cooperating with the leading cultural institutions of the city: the Anna Nova Gallery, the Leningrad Center show space, the largest private contemporary art museum Erarta in Russia, and the I Love Art Contemporary Art Club. A part of the cultural program of the hotel is its own educational program. Demetra Art Hotel is holding a series of creative meetings under the name “Kvartirnik”. At this educational sessions, the well-known contemporary artists of Saint-Petersburg and Russia perform the lectures and conversations for the interested audience.
